Covid-19 Service Provision Letter

COVID- 19

Many MLOT participants are in a high-risk category for serious illness if they become unwell with COVID-19. Before each face-to-face meeting Laura or Megan will contact you by phone or text to confirm if you are well and that you are not experiencing symptoms of Covid-19. Be assured that if we are unwell or required to isolate, we will cancel face to face appointments to protect us all. We follow directives from the Chief Health Officer and Occupational Therapy Australia.

Please advise us if you:

  • Have received a positive Covid-19 test result in the last 7 days.

  • Are a close contact of someone who has Covid-19.

  • Have possible symptoms for Covid-19.

Laura and Megan will continue to provide home visits in the weeks and months ahead but are putting in place strategies to reduce the risk to our participants and ourselves. We are happy to discuss your situation with you and work out a plan. Possible options include:

  • Delaying appointments until the spread of Covid-19 has slowed in our community.

  • Using Zoom or FaceTime to conduct appointments.

  • Having shorter face-to-face appointments.

  • Home visits sitting outside, practicing good hygiene, social distancing, and wearing face masks where appropriate.

  • Laura and Megan may be able to work on non-face to-face tasks for you, that assist you with your NDIS goals including liaising with other service providers, report writing and treatment planning.

We would like to know if you have been vaccinated against Covid -19 to assess the risk of home visits for you. You do not have to share this information with us but it will be helpful in order to provide our service.

Please contact Laura or Megan to discuss any of your concerns and we will problem solve together.
